Story

Set in a high street bookshop, this uplifting musical comedy follows assistant Atticus Smith, a talented but lazy writer who lives avidly through his novel’s characters until the arrival of the spirited and audacious Lilly. Despite the instant dislike for each other, Lilly forces Atticus to face the reality he lives in and learn from the world he’s created in his novel. Set in two parallel worlds, the contemporary pop-folk score guides you through a tale of love passion and betrayal among books!

Vision

Paper Hearts has come along way since its conception 3 years ago, and its been an extraordinary journey. The writer, Liam O’Rafferty imagined a show that people could engage with, particularly the characters and the story. But most importantly to fall in love with the songs, and come out of the theatre humming them!

  • A special thanks goes to the troops from New Your and Michigan. You hold a special place in our hearts. They had great shows themselves at the fringe and took the time to see our show, 3 or 4 times! I love you guys! Please keep in contact.

  • I couldn’t have dreamt for a better cast, not only did they perform 25 wonderful shows but we all got on. They brought my play alive and so many people responded to them in such an emotional way. I had emails from people who’s life had been changed from seeing the show, which was very moving. Thank you all
